How to Use the 3rd Grade Fraction Reference Tool?
The 3rd grade fraction reference tool is a great way to kick off your fraction unit. First make copies of your favorite version of the bookmark.
You can laminate or simply print on card stock. There is a black and white version included that you could print on bright paper, so it stands out for students and looks special.
Let students decorate the back of the fraction reference tool with their favorite fraction facts or examples to help them as they seek to master the standards laid out for 3rd grade.
Two Options to Choose From
There are TWO free 3rd grade fraction reference tools to choose from.
The first option is simple and labels the numerator and denominator on a unit fraction. There are fraction bars at the bottom to help students visualize the size of each part while they are comparing fractions.
The second option includes the same basic information as the first but also has number line examples. The greater than, less than, and equal to symbols are also labeled on the reference tool.
